Video balun for analog/AHD camera
....Video Balun - Passive type
....Video only - 200 m.
....Passive converter allows transporting cameras video signal over CAT5 twisted pair up to 200 m. 2 converters per camera are required, one on each side of the cable
....No power supply needed.
....Clip for side by side mounting
The twisted cable is increasingly used to replace the coaxial cable in the wiring of analog-type closed-loop cameras. Instead of a single conductor protected by a metal stocking (unbalanced transmission), a cable consists of two wired conductors, of the type used in computer networks or telephones (balanced transmission).
The benefits of twisted cable are a greater transmission rate and the ability to conduct multiple cameras on a single cable containing more pairs.
To use a twisted cable in the CCTV connection, you need two converters, one to be placed next to the camera (transmitter) and one to the other end of the cable (receiver). These devices have the function of balancing the unbalanced signal of the camera and unbalancing it again upon arrival. For this reason, these converters are also called BALUN (balanced-unbalanced).
The recommended cable for using DSE converters is the classic cable for unshielded 8-wire UTP CAT-5 UTP networks. It is possible to conduct up to 4 cameras on one cable using the 4 twisted pairs.
It is also possible to use different shielded and unshielded cables and various materials; The only condition is that the conductors are twisted in pairs. It should be noted, however, that the use of cables other than the CAT-5 UTP may also lead to a drastic reduction in the declared transmission performance.
The DSE range includes passive models that do not require power supply and active models of greater power, with 12VDC power. In both solutions there are models for only video signal to others that can also carry audio, power and RS485 bus for speed dome control.
